Wyoming. 2026 nonresident deer draw reports from Wyoming Game and Fish. Each hunt area has two pools, one for top point holders and one random draw open to everyone, and your odds combine both. 33 mule deer areas are covered.
Colorado. 2026 nonresident draw results from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, first choice only, across 644 public-land hunt codes, filtered to the weapon you picked on the intro page. When fewer than 10 people applied at your point level, a 100% result shows as "95%+" because that's too few to promise a sure thing. Private-land-only hunts are left out.
Utah limited entry. Utah Division of Wildlife Resources draw data, run through a model of how Utah actually draws: some permits go to the highest point holders, the rest go by a lottery weighted by points. We show the modeled odds rather than the raw ratio Utah prints, because the raw ratio is misleading when only a handful of people sit at a point level.
Utah general season. The same draw data, estimated by simulating the draw 300 times at each point level. That makes these numbers a little noisier, roughly plus or minus 3 percentage points.
Nonresident odds only for Wyoming and Colorado. If you pick either as your home state, those cards tell you the numbers don't apply to you.
Trophy score (Wyoming and Utah) rates how good the deer in that herd tend to be, from 0 to 100. It's a ranking, not a grade: a 79 means the herd scores better than about 79% of the other scored hunts in that state.
In Wyoming it combines how many bucks there are per 100 does with the share of bucks old enough to fall in the two oldest age classes biologists record. In Utah it combines bucks per 100 does with the share of harvested bucks with 3 or more points.
A hunt with only a few hunters gets pulled toward the state average, so one lucky season with 5 hunters can't put it at the top of the list.
Balance score (Colorado) blends how often hunters fill their tag with bucks per 100 does. It is not a trophy score. Colorado's herd reports don't include age data, and a high buck:doe ratio alone doesn't tell you whether those bucks are mature.
No badge means we don't have herd data for that unit yet. It's ranked by how hard it is to draw with zero points instead, as a stand-in for how much hunters want it.
Scores rank hunts within one state. A Wyoming 80 and a Utah 80 aren't measured on the same ruler, and a Colorado balance score isn't comparable to either. Tap any unit on the Seasons tab to see the numbers behind its score.
Each state's list shows four options across a range of odds, from a likely draw down to a long shot: A is 70–100%, B is 35–70%, C is 10–35%, D is under 10%. Within each range we show the highest-scoring unit.
The plan uses 2026 draw results as the baseline for every future year. Each year you apply and don't draw, you gain a point and move one step up that same odds curve.
It doesn't account for point creep. In popular units, the points needed to draw tend to rise every year as more hunters bank points. Treat a projected draw year as the earliest realistic year; in competitive units, expect it to come later.
A unit counts as drawable once your odds reach 70%. Your hunts-per-year setting decides how many states get an application each year, starting with whichever is closest to its goal. A milestone is a draw made with 10 or more points.
Weapon choice is set per state on the intro page, since what you hunt with in Utah often isn't what you'd choose elsewhere. Utah residents see a note that General Season is typically an easy draw most years — that's information, not something added to the plan for you. It only shows up as a suggestion if your chosen strategy calls for it.
Colorado changes its draw rules for 2028, splitting permits between preference points and bonus points. The plan doesn't model that yet; everything assumes today's rules.
The plan is a suggestion, not an application. Nothing here applies for you.
Application windows come from each agency's published dates. Dates that haven't been announced yet are marked that way rather than guessed.
